Sri Lanka Heritage and Golf Tour Itinerary

DAY 01  INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

DAY 02  ARRIVAL TRANSFER / COLOMBO
Met on arrival at Bandaranayke International Airport by our Local Representative and will arrange your transfer to Colombo via express way which will take approximately 1 Hours’ time.
Check in at Shangri La Hotel, Colombo – Deluxe Room – 05 Star Deluxe
Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the facilities at the hotel.
Overnight stay at Hotel.
 
DAY 03  COLOMBO (GOLFING)
Breakfast at Hotel – You will be transfer to Royal Golf Club for a game of 18 holes golf (All Green Fees, Cady Fees is included) – Lunch at the Royal Golf Club.
Course Summary

Return to Hotel.
Late afternoon proceeds on a sightseen tour of Colombo Drive through the Commercial area of the “Fort” so named, because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a Fort at this point. Drive passed “Pettah” – a noisy Oriental bazaar with a hotchpotch of Humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques & temples. Visit Hindu temple & drive pass Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque, Continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, to the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens and on to the Independence Square.
On completion of the tour, you will enjoy your Dinner at Ministry of Crabs which is speciality sea food restaurant.
Return to Hotel for overnight stay. 

DAY 04  COLOMBO / PINNAWELA / KANDY (DIGANA)
Breakfast at Hotel – Leave for Kandy en route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela - This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wild life authorities. The best time to visit is during the feeding times, when one will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants being bottle-fed. Also could accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them having their daily bath.

Rest of the day at leisure to relax and enjoy the facility.

DAY 05  KANDY (DIGANA) - GOLFING
Breakfast at Hotel – Play a game of 18 holes golf (All Green Fees, Cady Fees is included).

Late afternoon visit Kandy - Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site.  The name Kandy conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive.  Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798.
Witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing and the visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Return to Hotel for Overnight stay.

DAY 06  KANDY (DIGANA) / NUWARA ELIYA

Breakfast at Hotel – Leave for Nuwara Eliya en route visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. 
On completion, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort.  Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing a significant share of the world’s best tea.  Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here.  Nuwara-Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.

Rest of the day at leisure to relax and enjoy the facilities at the Hotel.

DAY 07  NUWARA ELIYA (GOLFING)
Breakfast at Hotel – Play a game of 18 holes golf (All Green Fees, Cady Fees is included) – Lunch at the Hill Club.
Return to Hotel.
Afternoon take a walk to the Nuwara Eliya town to experience the local life in hill station.
Overnight stay at Hotel.   

DAY 08  NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at Hotel – Day at leisure to relax in the Tea Capital of Sri Lanka – Overnight stay at Hotel.
OPTIONAL VISIT TO HORTON PLAINS WITH A SUPPLEMENT OF USD 55.00 PER PERSON WHEN 02 PAX TRAVELING AND IF A SINGLE CLIENT TRAVELING THE SUPPLEMET IS USD 85.00 PER PERSN:
Horton Plains is located on a high windswept saddle at 2134 meters. These Plains are hard to reach but the scenery is well worth the effort. At Horton Plains hike to the Bakers Fall, passing en route the Gem Pit Pool, the Chimney Pool, and the Leg of Mutton Pool. 

DAY 09  NUWARA ELIYA / HAMBANTOTA
Breakfast at Hotel – Leave for Hambantota via Elle & Wellawaya, you will experience the climate and vegetation change from wet zone to dry zone of the island with in 03 to 04 hours.
Check in at Shangri La Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa – Deluxe Room – 05 Star.
Rest of the day at leisure to relax after long drive.
Overnight stay at Hotel.

DAY10   HAMBANTOTA (GOLFING)
Breakfast at Hotel – Play a game of 18 holes golf (All Green Fees, Cady Fees is included).
The abundance of nature and wildlife, framed by lakes and the beautiful Indian Ocean, sets the scene for an incredible golfing experience.
